To explain the basis of mechanical and electrical design for sustainability and to overcome some common misconceptions, Green Building Design Consultants’ CPD presentation ‘What Constitutes a “Green Technology”?’ is now available.

This lecture covers areas such as insulation, renewable technologies, efficient systems and compliance. Specific recommendations are given for air source heat pumps, domestic water heating, showers and air ventilation. Examples of inappropriately designed systems highlight the need to consider all the aspects of a building’s fabric, situation and usage.
