We are delighted to announce that Green Building Design Consultants Ltd. has been awarded Safecontractor accreditation for ongoing commitment to achieving excellence in health and safety.

To achieve this accreditation, the full range of company health and safety procedures are subject to a detailed audit and the company has to demonstrate a track record of safe practice. Only the organisations achieving the Safecontractor high standard are accredited and allowed to display the Safecontractor logo.

Green Building Design Consultants’ application for Safecontractor was driven by a determined focus on health and safety systems and procedures throughout the company, and supports our ethos that safety is the number one priority.

According to Simon Green, “We have been operating a safety manual with risk assessments and safety inspections since the company was founded in 2001. Adopting the Safecontractor scheme has now endorsed the safe practices and designs that our team members continue to implement.”

Clients have access to a database of Safecontractor accredited companies, which simplifies the vetting process by ensuring that the company’s safety procedures and records have already been subject to a strict audit. Over 210 national clients, project managers, main contractors and similar organisations have signed up to use the Safecontractor scheme when selecting design and installation partners. According to Jon Kinge, technical director of Safecontractor, “Major organisations simply cannot afford to risk employing contractors who are not able to prove they have sound health and safety policies in place.”
