We are pleased to announce the successful transition of Green Building Design Consultants’ Ltd (GBD) Environmental Management System (EMS) from ISO 14001:2004 to ISO 14001:2015.

Since becoming accredited to ISO 14001:2004 in March 2015, we have now successfully transitioned to ISO 14001:2015 in March 2018

Processes & procedures have been enhanced by the GBD EMS Team, with the assistance of external Consultant (Blackmores) and were reviewed by BSI during the Continuing Assessment Audit in March 2018. This resulted in no non-conformities being raised and immediate approval to the new Standard. To confirm this transition we have received a ISO 14001:2015 Certificate (number EMW 622329).

This updated standard requires extra commitment to proactive initiatives to protect the environment from harm and degradation. It includes more focus on continual improvement in environmental performance and a requirement for senior team members to consider environmental management within the organisation’s strategic plan. There are also additional requirements to control and influence outsource processes and to implement a communication plan for internal, external and internal stakeholders.

Monitoring and reporting for this enhanced system also complies with a new ISO common framework for documentation.
