On 30th July 2018, Green Building Design Consultants were awarded affiliation to the Institute of Healthcare Engineering and Estate Management (IHEEM).

The company has demonstrated its ability and track record in M&E design for health service applications and we are now listed with membership number 202590 for our ‘Building Services – Design’ and ‘Design Consultancy – MEP’ services.

A major factor influencing Green Building Design Consultants’ decision to join IHEEM as an affiliated supplier is GBD’s ability to support heath sector contracts for Mechanical, Electrical and Public Health (MEP) Services, Principal Designer Services, Environmental Consultancy, Energy Efficiency and Ancillary Services via the NHS Shared Business Services (SBS) framework to which we were appointed in April 2018.

The NHS SBS framework delivers a range of pricing options for both new and refurbished (occupied or unoccupied) projects. Pricing options include hourly rates and percentage charges based on spend in bands. Mini-competitions can also be undertaken should the terms need to be more precisely formulated. It can be used by any NHS organisation or any public sector body e.g. police, fire, MOD, MOJ, education and registered charities, subject to registration with NHS SBS.
