SENIOR MECHANICAL ENGINEER

As a progressive and multi-disciplinary engineering company, we are looking for a Senior Mechanical Engineer who is passionate about low-carbon and low-energy design, to work with us on a range of national projects including commercial, historic buildings, hospitality, industrial, and more.

Role Overview:
As a Senior Engineer, you will lead junior engineers, handle design calculations, oversee project delivery, and collaborate closely with clients, contractors, and the broader design team. You’ll play a critical role in ensuring our designs meet the highest standards of efficiency, quality, and sustainability.

Key Responsibilities:

• Lead design calculations for Mechanical and Electrical equipment (e.g., CIBSE Heat Gain/Loss, Pipe/Duct Sizing, and Ventilation Calculations).
• Oversee space planning, equipment selection, and dynamic building simulations for energy usage predictions.
• Coordinate M&E design within the team, manage project resources and costs, and perform site surveys.
• Ensure quality control through report writing, specification proofreading, and adherence to GBD standards.
• Conduct Health, Safety, and Environmental duties to comply with ISO standards (14001 and 9001).

Requirements:

• BEng (Hons) in Mechanical Engineering and over 10 years' experience.
• Proficiency in IES Virtual Environment (Levels 3, 4, and 5) and a strong understanding of engineering principles.
• High attention to detail, strong project and time management skills, and excellent verbal and written communication.
• Flexibility, adaptability, and the ability to work under pressure.
